Job Responsibilities
- Design Creation
- Develop innovative and stylish silk clothing designs for various collections, including dresses, blouses, scarves, and other silk - based fashion items. Ensure that the designs align with the brand's aesthetic, target market, and current fashion trends.
- Create detailed design sketches, both by hand and using CAD software, clearly presenting the design concept, fabric details, and color schemes.
- Fabric and Material Selection
- Source and select high - quality silk fabrics and related materials that meet the brand's quality standards and design requirements. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and favorable terms.
- Sample Development
- Work closely with the production team to transform design concepts into physical samples. Provide clear instructions on pattern - making, cutting, sewing, and finishing techniques specific to silk garments.
- Review and approve samples, making necessary adjustments to ensure the final product meets the design specifications in terms of fit, quality, and appearance.
- Trend Research
- Continuously monitor global fashion trends, industry developments, and consumer preferences related to silk fashion. Attend fashion shows, exhibitions, and industry events to gather inspiration and stay ahead of the curve.
- Analyze market data and competitor offerings to identify unique selling points for our silk clothing designs.
Requirements
- Educational Background
- A bachelor's degree or above in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Specialized training in silk - related design is highly preferred.
- Work Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in fashion design, with a significant focus on silk clothing. A strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in silk fashion design is required.
